Building a Pergola

Prepare Materials（Pergola kits and Wood）
The first step is to prepare the materials and tools. You'll need brackets, timber, and installation tools such as a drill, tape measure, level, and ladder, of course, PPE is essential, like safety glasses and gloves.
Install the Top Structure of the Pergola
Position the corner brackets and post woods in their approximate locations. Remember to place a piece of cardboard under the brackets to prevent scratches.
Insert the wooden post into the corner bracket. Start by connecting a U-shaped frame and an I-shaped frame. Then, join the U-shaped and I-shaped frames together and secure the screws. That's it, the top structure of the pergola is complete.
Install the Post Leg of Pergola Kits
One person lifts one end of the structure while the other person inserts the two leg posts. Repeat the process for the other side.
Install the Post Base of the Pergola Kits
Lift the post and insert the post base, then use a level to adjust all four sides of the posts to be perpendicular to the ground, then tighten the screws.
Install the Pergola Rafters
The final step is to install the rafters on the pergola. Simply place the timber into the rafter brackets, and then install them onto the top of the pergola.
