Are the louvres sloped? How does water drain from an OUTMOS pergola?
The answer depends on the pergola type.
Wall-mounted pergolas
Most OUTMOS wall-mounted pergolas are designed with a slight fall away from the house. The louvres run perpendicular to the wall, allowing rainwater to naturally flow away from the building toward the front of the pergola.
Please note that the standard (non-Heavy Duty) 3 × 6 m and 4 × 6 m wall-mounted models are exceptions and do not incorporate this built-in fall.
Freestanding pergolas
All OUTMOS freestanding pergolas are designed with level (non-sloping) louvres. The drainage system is engineered to operate effectively without requiring the roof to be installed on a slope.
How does the drainage system work?
When the louvres are fully closed, rainwater is collected by the integrated drainage channels built into the louvre system. The water then flows into the concealed perimeter gutters surrounding the pergola.
From the gutters, the water enters the internal drainage openings at the top of each post, travels down through the hollow posts, and finally exits through the drainage outlets at the base of the posts.
This concealed drainage design keeps all water management hidden within the pergola structure, providing a clean appearance while efficiently directing rainwater away from the outdoor living area.
