Why Choose Outmos Pergola? Is It Really Worry-Free?

We keep our prices competitive by importing directly from our manufacturing partners and selling straight to you, without the multiple layers of distributors that drive up costs elsewhere. That means a better price — but never at the expense of quality. Our in-house design team develops products to suit Australian conditions, using premium materials such as 6005-T5 aluminium alloy and durable powder coating.

Backed by warranty

Structural frames are covered for up to 10 years, louvre roofs and motors for 5 years, blinds for 3 years and LED lighting for 2 years. If a manufacturing defect arises within the warranty period, we provide replacement parts at no cost, along with technical support. (Full terms apply — see our Warranty Policy.)

Engineered and certified.

Our standard pergolas are certified by an Australian structural engineer to a design wind rating of up to 35.67 m/s (128 km/h) when installed to specification, and we provide engineering certificates for all standard sizes.

Local and in stock.

Our Melbourne showroom and warehouse at 192–196 Discovery Road, Dandenong South VIC 3175 holds stock locally, so in-stock orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 business days. You're welcome to visit and see the pergolas in person.

Supported, not on your own.

From DIY instructions and videos to ongoing technical support — and help connecting you with permit consultants when needed — we stay with you throughout the project.

Low maintenance for the long run.

Powder-coated aluminium resists rust and corrosion and needs no painting or staining; occasional cleaning keeps it performing for years.

FAQ - Compare Guide

Does Outmos offer pergola installation services?

Yes. We can arrange professional pergola installation through our trusted installation partners across Melbourne and surrounding areas in Victoria.

Installation requirements vary from project to project. Depending on your site, the installer may request photos or arrange an on-site inspection before providing a quotation. Simple installations can often be quoted without a site visit.

Installation typically costs between AUD $1,000 and $2,000, depending on the pergola size, site conditions, and installation complexity. Most installations are completed by a 2–3 person team within one day.

Your pergola will be delivered before installation, and the installer will complete the assembly and handle any necessary on-site adjustments. If you are outside Victoria, we provide detailed installation guides and ongoing technical support for you or your preferred installer.

How easy is it to install the pergola?

OUTMOS pergolas are specifically designed for DIY installation. Over more than 10 years of product development, we have continuously improved the design to make installation simpler, faster, and more straightforward.

Most installations only require common household tools, such as a drill, ladders, and basic hand tools—no specialised equipment is needed. Most pergolas can be installed by two people in approximately 4–6 hours, depending on the size and site conditions.

Every pergola includes detailed installation instructions, and we also provide step-by-step installation videos. If you need assistance during installation, our experienced technical support team is available to provide guidance and help you resolve any questions along the way.

The advantages of using pergola brackets to construct a pergola

OUTMOS pergola brackets are designed to make building a timber pergola faster, easier, and more accurate—even for first-time DIYers.

  • DIY friendly – No carpentry experience, complex joinery, or angle calculations are required. The brackets are pre-engineered, making assembly simple and reducing installation mistakes.
  • Fast installation – Most projects can be completed by one or two people in a single day, compared with traditional timber pergolas that often require skilled trades and significantly more installation time.
  • Save on labour costs – Because the system is designed for DIY installation, most homeowners can avoid the high cost of hiring professional carpenters.
  • Strong and durable – Our brackets are manufactured from heavy-duty 3 mm steel with a durable powder-coated finish, providing excellent structural strength and long-term outdoor performance.
  • Flexible design – You can choose the timber length and pergola size that best suits your outdoor space. We also provide sizing guides to help you calculate the required timber before purchasing.
  • Professional-looking results – The pre-engineered bracket system creates clean, consistent connections, giving your finished pergola a neat and professional appearance while reducing material waste.
What is the shipping cost for OUTMOS pergolas?
  • OUTMOS provides FLAT SHIPPING RATES on bracket orders based on order total prices. Please note that we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes and require a physical address for shipping.
  • For louvred pergolas, our standard shipping costs (directly to your home address) cover metro areas in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, and ACT. The shipping cost for 3x3m and 3x4m pergolas is $400. For 3x6m, 4x6m, 3x7m, and 3x8m pergolas, the cost is $650. The standard shipping cost for heavy duty 3x5m and 4x4m pergolas is $650. For heavy duty 4x5m, 4x6m, 4x8m pergolas, the cost is $800.

Please note: This shipping cost does not include crane truck delivery cost. If a crane truck is required for the delivery, additional cost will apply based on the actual charges from couriers.

Can I pick the pergola up from your store or arrange the shipping myself?

Yes, you can pick up the items from our store in Melbourne. Alternatively, you could arrange the shipping yourself by selecting the pick-up option when checking out.

Why is timber NOT included?

Timber is not included because every timber pergola project is different. Customers may prefer different timber species, finishes, lengths, and styles depending on their budget, local climate, and design preferences.

Our pergola brackets are designed to suit standard timber sizes commonly available in Australia, so you can easily source suitable timber from local suppliers, timber yards, or retailers such as Bunnings.
